The present invention relates to an energy-internet of things (e-IoT) gateway which can reduce delay time for data. The e-IoT gateway comprises: a communication unit to perform communication with an e-IoT device and an e-IoT platform; a storage unit to store sleep device data generated based on data collected from the e-IoT device in a queue; and a control unit to generate the sleep device data to store the sleep device data in the storage unit, and control the communication unit to transmit a first message requesting a switch to a sleep state to the e-IoT device if it is determined that there is no job to communicate with the e-IoT device. The control unit calculates an average value of N data received from the e-IoT device, generates the sleep device data based on the average value, and controls the communication unit to transmit the sleep device data to the e-IoT platform if a second message requesting data of the e-IoT device is received from the e-IoT platform after the e-IoT device is switched to the sleep state.
