The present invention relates to a disaster prediction system using IoT devices to reduce power consumption and a disaster prediction method thereof. According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the disaster prediction system comprises: two or more IoT devices disposed in a storage tank storing groundwater and provided with at least one radioactive material sensor measuring a level of radioactive material inside the storage tank; a disaster management server receiving measured data from each IoT device and analyzing or predicting a disaster state on the basis of the received data; and an IoT gateway connected to the two or more IoT devices and the disaster management server through a local area network (LAN) and a wide area network (WAN), respectively, and including a control unit recognizing predetermined access information for each IoT device to transmit the measured data to the disaster management server while collecting the measured data from each IoT device and receiving a control command including access information from the disaster management server to control an IoT device matching the corresponding access information.
