According to an embodiment of the present invention, the communication setting method of an IoT device using a smart device comprises: a MAC address providing process of a smart device receiving a MAC address of an IoT device through an NFC communication from the IoT device, and transmitting the MAC address to an IoT server; an initial setting information providing process of the IoT server transmitting to the smart device initial setting information including internet connection setting information allocated to the MAC address received from the smart device; an initial setting information relay process of the smart device transmitting the initial setting information received from the IoT server to the IoT device through the NFC communication; and an initial setting process of the IoT device initially setting internet connection setting by using the internet connection setting information within the initial setting information received from the smart device.
