The communication chip based NB-IoT base station comprises a main control module, an NB-IoT chip, a watchdog chip and a power management chip; the main control module is in data communication connection with the NB-IoT chip through a standard SPI interface; the NB-IoT chip is used for realizing data acquisition from the NB-IoT terminal to the NB-IoT base station; the main control module adopts a communication chip platform as the main control chip, has a GSM function and transmits data to a background server by using GPRS; and the NB-IoT base station further comprises a power management chip circuit with the power supplied by DC power and a solar cell panel and having an abnormal power failure warning function. By utilization perfect combination of the GSM function of the communication chip and wireless transmission of the NB-IoT, the NB-IoT base station of the embodiment realizes the purpose of data acquisition of the NB-IoT and data uploading of the GSM, and has the advantages of installation convenience, long transmission distance, low power consumption, steady and safe data transmission, and low construction cost.
