The present invention relates to a battery consumption optimisation system for an internet of things (IoT) terminal, which allows optimised battery consumption by efficient control of usage time of the IoT terminal that is used in the IoT environment. The battery consumption optimisation system for an IoT terminal is realised by comprising: an IoT terminal; a control server that accumulates reaction data of the IoT terminal, and that transmits statistical information regarding a transmission cycle by analysing the accumulated data; and a gateway that controls the transmission cycle of the IoT terminal based on the statistical data regarding the transmission cycle that has been transmitted from the control server, so as to reduce battery consumption, wherein current consumption by the IoT terminal is optimised by the gateway (or scanner) that is wirelessly connected to the IoT terminal adjusting the transmission cycle of a transmission signal of the IoT terminal for each time band based on the statistical information in which valid transmission signal data of the IoT terminal has been analysed.
