A WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK (WSN) PLATFORM FOR IOT BASED AGRICULTURE APPLICATIONS

Most of the countries development is contingent on the agriculture and agriculture is thebackbone of any country. The main contribution of our work is to supply newest and bettertechnology like Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into the farmers to theprecision agriculture. Here aim of the work is Wi-Fi sensor network (Wi-Fi -SN) along withGlobal System for Mobile Communications (GSM) via the internet web software forautomation and control of vegetation, irrigation and flood in the precision agriculture, andthat is called as smart precision agriculture. Data acquisition of the land has been done onreal-time manner of precious agricultural parameters of greenhouse, polyhouse, andagricultural land utilizing sensor nodes using eight distinct sensors. All these are soilmoisture, soil-temperature, soil-pH, environmental-temperature, environmental- humidity,sunlight, and land-flood, air flow rate sensor. The collected real-time land data aretransmitted via Wi-Fi -SN and smart Wi-Fi gateway node using 4G modem into a cloudserver placed in the control area. In the exact same time DSS can be also used to controlboth the irrigation and flood of the greenhouse, polyhouse, and agricultural land throughSMS. Our objective of this work is to give vegetation, irrigation centre flood monitoringand control at the hands of farmer.
