In the method, the soil is treated mechanically in such a way that the seeds, parts of plants, micro-organisms and their dormancies typically present in it are subjected to mechanical pressure, which causes the abovementioned organic pieces to break or be damaged in a way that affects their germination capacity and viability, in which method the soil's own structural elements are used as a part of the mechanism which causes the organic components to be damaged.
