DUAL SHAFT LEAF SHREDDER5 Dual shaft leaf shredder is invented to reduce the manual effort and time for shredding the dried leaves-and plant waste by the farmers of the rural areas practicing organic farming. This invention relates to tlie quick shredding of bigger size leaves and plant waste without external energy like hydraulic, pneumatic devices and electric motors. It works by a simple hand driven mechanism. The dual shaft leaf shredder is based on a low cost 10 mechanical operated shredder used to shred dry leaves to convert it into useful bio manure product mainly used for organic farming. It is mechanically operated and can be used in any places even there is no electricity. It is also very' compact and weight less as compared to the available products in the market. The machine can be operated easily and used by everyone. The opening.duct I is .the area where'the dried leaves and plant waste will be 15 poured into the shredder. The metal handle 6 is rotated manually clockwise initiating the torque for the threaded shafts 5, the handle is tightened with the help of M10 nut 7. The shafts gets activated with the help of.the spur gears 4. Both the gears are been tightened with the, help of MIO nut 7. The metal box 2 is the place where the shredding takes place. The metal box contains M10 ball bearings on either sides to ensure smooth rotation of the 20 shafts. It has a series of three tooth blades 8 and bushes 9. The blades are also internally threaded of size M10 so that it is locked with the threaded shafts and it gets rotated along with the threaded shaft and hence shredding takes place. Between adjacent blades there is two bushes present ensuring that the blades from either threaded shafts do not mesh with each other and ensuring some tolerance between the blades of either side. By increasing 25 the number of bushes between the adjacent blades we can increase the size of the shredded leaves. The size of the shredded particle is important for bio-composting. The gear ratio here is one. The shafts rotates in opposite direction ensuring good shredding and crushing of the leaves. The blades and bushes or washers are been tightened by MIO nuts oh either sides. The shredding process takes place. Finally that the shredded particles will come down and fall on the stand 3 with a collecting plate in it so that we can collect below.
