The apparatus comprises a composting channel (10), a planting container (20), a storage tank (40), a stand (50), a self-irrigation module (60) and a plurality of caster wheels (70). The planting container (20) comprises pocket shaped openings (30) configured to provide growth medium for seeds or saplings. The self-irrigation module (60) is configured with a microcontroller and comprises a moisture level sensor and a pump configured for irrigation, for autonomous working of the apparatus. Storage tank (40) is configured to collect leachate and excess water from the planting container (20). The stand (50) is configured to hold the planting container (20) at a specified height. Caster wheels (70) are provided for easy rotation and relocation of the apparatus.
