The use of a compound of the general formula (I) containing one to six cyclic group, at most three of which can be annelated, with the following definitions: R1, R5 hydrogen, halogen, NH2, C1-30-hydrocarbon residue which is linked with the morpholyl group via a carbon atom and which can contain one to three halogen atoms and/or one to six heteroatoms, selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen and sulphur, with the proviso that if R1 is different from hydrogen, then R5 is hydrogen, and if R5 is different from hydrogen, then R1 is hydrogen, R2 C1-30-hydrocarbon residue which is linked with the morpholyl group via a carbon atom and which can contain one or two halogen atoms and/or one to ten heteroatoms, selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen and sulphur, R3, R4, R6 hydrogen or C1-3-al kyl, with the proviso that at least two of R1, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are hydrogen; or two of R1 to R6 are linked with each other to form a 4- to 8- membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring structure, as plant growth promotor.
