Name and number plates &c.-A sign comprises a bevelled glass front 3, Figs. 2 and 4, and a sign-plate 6, an intermediate annular mat 5 and a back member 10, Fig. 2, 10, Fig. 4, such that enclosed air-spaces are provided on either side of the sign-plate. Gaskets of rubber or other packing-material may make the enclosed spaces air and water tight. The advertisements and like matter on the plate 6 may be applied in, or on luminous paint.1>
