Improvements in Blowers or Drawplates for Domestic Fire-places

21,254. Clark, R. O. Oct. 16, 1906, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Blowers or drawplates; canopies.- The blower consists of a plate E, Fig. 2, movable vertically between front and rear plates X, Z forming the canopy. The downward movement of the blower is limited by projections E, Y on the plates E, Z respectively. For holding a blower in any desired position, pins F, Fig. 4, are fitted in the guides F at its edges so as to act in conjunction with springs P attached to the blower E'. The blower shown in Fig. 2 is formed so that its lower end projects forwards and encloses the fire, and is fitted with a hot-air chamber S having two rows of holes R, V through which the air circulates. It may be perforated so as to admit air to the fire, and may be upheld by counterweighted chains H, or by toothed rack fittings.1>2>1>2>
