Roller bearings ; lubricating.-A roller bearing consists of a number of rollers mounted loosely on bolts p, connecting cage rings k, and having conical recesses loosely engaging cones l fixed on the bolts p, and bevelled ends x engaging bevelled surfaces on retaining-rings v. The concentric rings t, h have bearing-surfaces of less length than the rollers, with unoccupied annular recesses u, u at their ends. The emergency sleeve d on the journal has recesses f to hold llibricant. The rollers are spaced by cones fixed tu the cagesk by studs. The block l takes the end thrust of the journal.
