Knock-down boxes; straps, strengthening.- Wire-bound boxes have ends 14, Fig. 8, which are not secured to the side cleats G, the parts being held in correct position during assembling or packing by wires 15 passing through holes in opposite sides and cleats. The wires have a bend 16 at one end, the opposite end being bent at 17 after insertion. In a modification, one end of the wire has a head 20, Fig. 5, which is placed between a cleat 6 and a side, the end of the cleat having a groove to receive the adjacent portion of the wire. In another form, heads 23, 25, Fig. 7, are provided at both ends of the wire, and the sides and cleats are slotted. Specification 17561/12 is referred to.
