Fuente: WIPO "varroa" This disclosure relates to the inventive concept of a pesticide/miticide/acaricide delivery device, Varr-Gate technology, that is touch-responsive and can precisely deliver miticide formulation in aqueous or viscous form directly targeting Varroa mites on the body of honeybees as they enter the hive. In particular aspects, the inventive concept provides a touch-responsive miticidal delivery device, wherein the device is a plastic structure comprising of hollow microtubular bristles hanging from the ceiling of the entrance tunnel comprising a liquid miticide droplet composition comprising NoPest-Ag5 in aqueous or viscous form and derivatives having pesticidal utility against Varroa mites, and pathogenic bee microbes such as viruses, bacteria and fungi, methods to produce such system, miticidal compositions containing such molecules, and processes of using such miticidal compositions against such pests and microbes. The device in combination with such miticidal compositions may be used to manage honeybee colonies against such pests and microbes.
