It may comprise the human gut microbiota and a carrier which is honey free from or having a reduced content of honey bee microbiota or it may comprise the human gut microbiota and a carrier which is a honey mimic comprising at least one of glucose, maltose, glycerol, sucrose and fructose. In an alternative aspect the invention provides a bee feed based on fungi fortified with compounds from plants that are medicinal. The above bee feed may be mixed with a sugar feed or honey.
