Fecha de publicación: 01/05/2024 Fuente: WIPO "honey" A method of shielding for use in a tooling process, in which there are shielding means, e.g. a rotary collar 16, interposed between a tool, e.g. a rotary floor-sander disc 11, movable to effect tooling of a workpiece, e.g. a floor 12, and a neighbouring object, e.g. a central-heating pipe 14 extending vertically up through the floor, to shield the object from the tool during the tooling and the shielding means are movable or moved relative to the object by or due to movement of the tool in the course of the tooling and shielding, e.g. the collar being loose enough to be rotated around the pipe by the tool and prevented from rising along the pipe by a stop collar 18 fixed to the pipe. Preferably, each of the two collars is split (possibly into two semi-circular pieces) to enable it to be retrofitted around the pipe and has fastening means to tighten the stop collar about the pipe but such as to keep the rotary collar loose to be able to rotate. A method of working a tool piece, a shielding arrangement and a shielding means are also claimed.
