Range-keepers.-The device is of the type having a bearing-dial 2 carrying an arrow 314 indicating the ship's direction and a target course dial 411 on which is an arrow 412 indicating the target's course. The dial 2 is automatically and continuously rotated when in operation at a rate depending on the ship's speed, the target's speed, and the angle of course, and the dial 411 normally rotates in synchronism with it. According to the invention, a compass dial 409 is arranged concentrically outside the bearing dial and is adapted to be rotated with it, either when driven automatically or by hand for the initial setting and, also, when the observing ship changes its course, the dial 2 can be rotated alone. In so adjusting the dial 2, the dial 411 must be disconnected and a member 417 is provided which ensures, by its depression, that the normal drive is not transmitted to this dial.
