Winding-indicators.-In apparatus for showing the distance made good in aircraft, in which are employed friction disks oppositely driven by a spring motor controlled by a governor, an indication when it is necessary to rewind the clockwork motor spring is given by a bar 38. The spring when wound up forces back a pawl-carrying lever 35 against the action of a spring 37 and holds the rod 38 in the position shown. When the driving spring is nearly run down it is overcome by the spring 37 which then protrudes the telltale rod 38 through the casing.
