After preliminary drying in contact with the forme, the matrix is placed on a support which comprises a bar 15, having legs 18 with hook-shaped supports 19, and is provided with a handle 17 and inserted in a chamber 11 immersed in the molten stereo-metal contained in the pot 10. The chamber is preferably bolted to the pot in an inclined position. The receptacle is preferably formed with stiffening-ribs 13, which also serve to conduct heat from the metal.
