1,062,837. Weapon simulating and sound producing toys. M. I. GLASS, [trading as MARVIN GLASS & ASSOCIATES], Oct. 27, 1965 [March 10, 1965; April 16, 1965], No. 45471/65. Heading A6S. A motor operated toy comprises a weapon simulating and sound making device in which the weapon simulating part is movable relative to the base of the toy. The first embodiment has a number of toy soldiers 24 behind a barricade and mounted on platforms 64. When a cycle of operations is initiated by operation of a lever 100, an electrical circuit through a driving motor is temporarily completed and then held on by the movement of an arm 92 out of a notch in a circular cam surface 104 during one revolution of said cam surface. During said revolution the platforms 64 and soldiers 24 are lifted to a position simulating the soldiers firing down over the barricade, and at the same time a reed 82 snaps over teeth on a wheel to produce simulated rifle fire. A second embodiment shows machine gunners who are appropriately vibrated and sound is produced which simulates machine gun fire.
