801,892. Land mines. POUDRERIES REUNIES DE BELGIQUE S.A. May 18, 1956 [May 20, 1955], No. 15590/56. Class. 9(2) A booby-trap for an anti-tank mine comprises a fuze similar to those described in Specifications 801,889 and 801,891, which is arranged at the base of an anti-tank mine described in Specification 801,890. On the fuze cover 10 are pivoted two overlapping plates 1, 11 held in the collapsed position by a bolt 11 engaged by bushing 12 through which passes a cotter pin 2 wedged by a member 13. After laying the mine, the pin 2 is withdrawn by means of a cord 2a to leave the trap armed. The member 3, which holds the fuze strikers 4 away from the primer 5, extends through the casing and is held against the plate 1 by a spring 14. A detonator 6 is mounted on the part 10a of the casing and is covered by a cap 21 which fits a recess in the mine, Fig. 3. If the mine is lifted, plates 1, 11 pivot outwards allowing member 3 to move down wards and so bring apertures 8 into line with the strikers and primer 5, whereupon the strikers actuate the primer to fire the detonator 6 and explode the mine. One pivoted plate may be used insteady of two as shown.
