964,080. Theft alarms. JOHNSON CARGUARD Ltd. Nov. 10, 1960 [Nov. 17, 1959], No. 38942/59. Drawings to Specification. Heading G4N. [Also in Division H2] The doors and/or load of a vehicle are fitted with security switches in circuit with a control relay and external and internal combination switch units comprising multiposition switches (see Division H2), so than an alarm is sounded if a door is opened or the load is moved without the external combination switch units being set to the correct combination or if the ignition is switched on without the internal combination switch units being set to the correct combination, starting of the engine also being prevented. An intermittent alarm is given by the vehicle horn in series with a thermal interrupter and continues until the correct combination is set. The internal unit is similar to that described in Specification 964, 079. The correct combination for the external unit may be either the only one that does not complete the alarm circuit via a security switch or the only one that completes a circuit for a relay which disconnects the alarm circuit.
