PURPOSE: A booby-trap monitoring system for preventing a ductile fracture of a power device joining unit is provided to have a simple structure and to facilitate to manufacture as metallic patterns of a conductive thin film and an electric circuit of a circuit-integrated nut form a single closed circuit. CONSTITUTION: A booby-trap monitoring system for preventing the ductile fracture of a power device joining unit comprises a metal pattern(11), a circuit-integrated nut(12), a sensing unit(13), and a main control unit(15). Conductive metal with an elongation ratio smaller than the elongation ratio of metal forming a component is plated or deposited on the insulated surface of a joining component(10) of a power device driving unit so that the metal pattern is formed. The circuit-integrated nut is joined to the joining component and includes an electric circuit lighting an LED lamp(12') when the metal pattern is damaged. The sensing unit senses a photon generated when the LED lamp is lighted, thereby transmitting signals. The main control unit determines the existence of malfunction by using the signals transmitted from the sensing unit and generates warning signals when the malfunction is occurred.
