The hive includes side ports that use glass plates and port covers to allow access to the interior of the hive without unnecessarily disturbing the bees. The hive also uses a top bar configuration to promote bee health and productivity. The hive also includes hive ends to receive feeding assemblies that provide materials to the bees without disturbing the interior of the hive.
