The invention relates to a head protection for beekeepers having a bee veil designed for the bee-tight connection with a suit, coat, blouson or jacket which protects the beekeeper during his work against flying bees or bee stings while, on the other hand, it restricts the beekeeper during his work, which requires optimum freedom of movement, as little as possible and also avoids tight connection around the throat. The invention provides a beekeeper's hood (20) having a headband (1) and support members (2) which are arranged thereon, extend approximately vertically upwards and carry a hooded roof (3) at a distance from the head (21) of the beekeeper, to the edge (4) of which roof the bee veil (5) is fastened, the lower edge of the veil (5) which has an elastic border (12) being designed so as to be connectable in a bee-tight manner on or below the lapel of the suit, coat or the like so as to extend obliquely forward up to the chest region. The support members (2) comprise U-shaped wire brackets whose free ends are sewn into pockets (6) in the headband (1). The headband (1) is expediently adjustable with a gummed terry-cloth tape (14).
