Fecha de publicación: 01/12/2005 Fuente: WIPO "propolis" PURPOSE: A method for preparing water soluble propolis is provided to increase the extraction ratio, to improve the content of flavonoid as an active ingredient, and to improve the physical properties so that the product is used as a material for health-aid foods and processed foods.CONSTITUTION: The method for preparing water soluble propolis comprises the steps of: (1) pulverizing crude mass of propolis and dissolving the pulverized product into an alcohol, and irradiating the resultant solution with ionization energy to perform the extraction of propolis; and (2) adding water to the powder containing propolis extract, and further adding an alkali and an organic acid thereto to impart water solubility to propolis.
