Fecha de publicación: 08/08/2014 Fuente: WIPO "propolis" The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a propolis byproduct powder making the propolis byproduct, which is very sticky and insoluble, into powder and to a functional feed additive having a natural antibiotic function by containing the propolis byproduct powder. The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a propolis byproduct powder comprising: (a) a step for preparing a mixture by mixing a propolis byproduct with one or more kinds of diluting agents selected among wheat bran, starch, dextrin, lactose, glucose, and silica; (b) a step for preparing a dried mixture by vacuum dehydrating or freeze-drying the mixture prepared at step (a); and (c) a step for preparing 50-1500 mesh powder by pulverizing the dried mixture prepared at step (b) while cooling down the heat generated from pulverization process to prevent the pulverized particles from clotting each other, and the propolis by-product powder manufactured by the method. The propolis byproduct powder has functionality of purified propolis including an excellent antibacterial function and can be provided at low costs, thereby being able to be used in many different fields, especially, in a field of livestock feed, being used as a functional feed additive having a natural antibiotic function so as to replace the existing antibiotics.
