The present invention relates to a composition for controlling sebum secretion and alleviating acne using a mixture of water-soluble propolis extracts of different origins and a method for preparing the same. The composition for controlling sebum secretion and alleviating acne of the present invention exhibits an excellent effects of controlling sebum secretion and alleviating acne. The method for preparing a composition for controlling sebum secretion and alleviating acne by using a mixture of water-soluble propolis extracts of different origins of the present invention comprises the steps of: (a) preparing Brazilian propolis, Korean propolis and Chinese propolis or Australian propolis; (b) mixing 115 to 125 parts by weight of Chinese propolis and 75 to 85 parts by weight of Korean propolis extract at a weight ratio in 100 parts by weight of Brazilian propolis prepared in above step (a), or mixing 95 to 105 parts by weight of Australian propolis and 115 to 125 parts by weight of Korean propolis extract at a weight ratio in 100 parts by weight of Brazilian propolis extract; (c) extracting and filtering the propolis of different origins mixed in above step (b) with 70 to 80% ethanol; (d) concentrating the propolis extract filtered in above step (c) and recovering ethanol; and (e) making soluble the propolis extract from which ethanol was recovered in above step (d) with an emulsifying agent polysorbate and an emulsifying aid.
