Fecha de publicación: 24/10/1996 Fuente: WIPO "propolis" The present invention relates to propolis-based preparations and processes for preparing propolis extracts, may be used in medicine and pharmacology, in the perfume and cosmetics industry, food processing industry, agriculture, etc., and facilitates production of an alcohol-free propolis preparation which retains the useful properties of propolis in solution and increases the propolis concentration in solution. A propolis solution is an aqueous molecular-dispersed solution of propolis with mechanical impurities removed and contains, as a rule, from 1 to 30 w/w %, in particular 2 or 10 w/w % propolis. The extract is prepared by dissolving in water propolis with mechanical impurities removed while passing a current through the water and placing electrodes in a vessel of water to which mineral salts are added before dissolution.
