The present invention in the field of beekeeping is a new structure of a light-weight and rigid, caselike rotor of the honey extractor, wherein the spin axis is horizontally mounted. Said new structure enables the assembling of the rotor by bolts without welding retaining nevertheless the rigidity and the mechanical durability typical to the welded rotor structure. One further benefit is the ease of maintenance and changing the spare parts, as there is no longer a need for disassembling the welded joints. The new structure also enables assembling the rotor in a modular way for versions having different lengths. In this new rotor structure (1) there are 2-4 sectors, thin end flanges (2) and reinforcement guide rails (3) connecting said end flanges, and support bars for the honeycomb frames. The shapes of the end flanges (2) of the rotor (1) depend on the amount of said sectors.
