11,101. Honey, A. May 9. Folding and collapsible seats; seating surfaces, attaching.-In a deck chair in which the back A is pivoted to the seat frame B so that the back tends to tilt forward when the seat is used, rods E adapted to engage ratchets F are provided to hold the back rigid, the teeth of the ratchets sloping in the opposite direction to those usually employed in deck chairs. The legs C of the chair are pivoted to the seat frame at b and are provided with slots f in which a bar e connecting stays D is adapted to slide when the chair is folded. The material forming the seat is threaded between fixed bars G of the chair frame and then sewn to loose rods g.
