Beehives. - A multiple beehive comprises a number of independent compartments 8 - - 11, each with its separate opening, so arranged that the vertical planes through the longitudinal middles 12 - - 15 of the compartments intersect to form a prismatic space. In the form shown the hive is in the form of a square and each compartment 8 - - 11 has an alighting board 20 and entrance 19. A double bottom board 5 is fitted and insulating walls 21. The frames 22 are suspended from strips 23 and in the upper part of the hive the compartments are kept separate by layered filling pieces 24 - - 27 each filling piece being provided on one side with a guide piece 28 for the adjacent piece.
