543,463. Feeding sheets. BEE BEE BISCUITS, Ltd., and BUXBAUM, E. K. June 24, 1940, No. 10816. [Class 100 (i)] Sheets such as labels, gaskets, &c., are fed from the bottom of a vertical hopper 1 formed with a number of lugs 3 which support the pile but permit the bottom sheet to be separated by a suction cup 13 which is raised into contact with the sheet and then withdrawn and rotated to bring the separated sheet under a reciprocating suction device 16 which takes the separated sheet and transfers it to a container 18 or to any other desired position. The cup 13 is carried by a shaft 7 which is given a combined vertical and oscillating motion, and slots 9 in the shaft 7 are maintained constantly in a suction chamber 6. A slot 8a vents, the shaft 7 when in position to transfer the sheet. Specification 542,148, [Group XVII], is referred to.
