The space between the board and the roof is filled with insulating material 10 of a flocculent nature, while the underside of the board 6 is upholstered on its underside with material 11 such as feathers enclosed by cloth 12. Ventilating apertures 16 are formed in the board and are provided by tubes 18 having nuts and rubber washers 20 serving also to hold the upholstery in place. Slit curtains 13 suspended on wires or closely-wound coil springs are provided.
