Fecha de publicación: 29/04/1999 Fuente: WIPO "bee" An emulsion for use in covering plastic material such as polyolefin and possessing satisfactory applicability and adhesion onto polyolefin material, excellent compatibility with other resins such as an acrylic resin and a high storage stability, and a process for preparing the same. The emulsion comprises a styrene/acrylic/acid-modified chlorinated polyolefin comprising (1) a portion of a chlorinated polyolefin structure, (2) a portion of an acid anhydride and/or a carboxylic acid structure bonded to the portion (1), and (3) a portion comprising a styrene-acrylic polymer chain bonded to the portion (2) while leaving a part of the acid anhydride group and/or the carboxylic acid group in the portion (2), the proportion of the portion (2) relative to the total of the portions (1) and (2) being 1 to 10 % by weight; an emulsifier; a basic material comprising at least either an amine compound or ammonia; and water. The process for preparing the emulsion comprises the steps of preparing a suspension comprising raw materials of the emulsion and reacting the raw materials.
