The clamp unit has three telescopic tubes (1, 2, 3). The first inner tube (2) is removably locked to the guide tube (1), for length adjustment. A lever (11) draws the second inner tube (3) inwards against the pressure of a helical spring (6), to place the guide. Release of the lever causes the second inner tube to jump out. The two support plates (7) fastened to the second inner tube and the guide, engage on floor and ceiling. The lever can be actuated, together with a locking unit (4), to release the guide.
