An axle bearing lubricating device comprises at least one grease pump 50 for propelling grease from a tank (10, Fig. 5) to a respective axle bearing (90, Fig. 5) and includes a cylinder 501 with a through hole 53 axially extending to the rear from a front piston chamber 52, a plurality of air holes 521 in the piston chamber 52, and a plurality of screw holes 531. A reciprocating piston 51 is located in the chamber 52. A piston rod 511 is attached to said piston and reciprocates in the through hole 53. A check valve 54 at the rear end of the through hole 53 enables grease to be expelled from the cylinder 501. Check valves 55 in the screw holes 531 enable grease to be delivered from the tank (10, Fig. 5) into the through hole 53. Connectors 522 in the air holes 521 enable high pressure air to be delivered into the piston chamber 52 to move the piston 51 forward. A manifold 42 is connected between the grease outlet of the tank (10, Fig. 5) and the check valves 55. A high pressure air system 80 is controlled to supply air to the connectors 522, 562 to reciprocate the piston of each grease pump.
