The selecting method for cultivating the breeding bees of the apis cerana comprises the following steps that 1, good queen cells are selected; 2, new queen bees are timely selected and bred, old queen bees with reduced fertility are timely replaced, and bee colonies with high honey, milk and wax yield, fast bee colony development, strong colony vigor, gentle temperament and relatively-stable heredity are selected as mother colonies and fathercolonies; 3, honeycombs with many reserved male bee combs or male bee rooms are selected and put into the father colonies for oviposition of female bees, one honeycomb is added once, and two or threemale bee combs are added in sequence for one colony; 4, an off-spawning and disease-free excellent and strong colony is selected as a feeding colony; 5, breeding queen bees are selected for cultivation, and 10-20 bees are fed once. The method has the advantages that the apis cerana with good fertility are selected for cultivation before the spring of the next year through an effective selecting technique, and the purpose of yield increase is achieved accordingly.
