SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, particularly to a composition for anti-ticks Varroa destructor, containing in an effective amount a nucleic acid molecule having a sequence which is at least 96 % complementary or identical to at least 21 adjacent nucleotide sequence of the calmodulin gene, as well as to use it to reduce parasitism Varroa destructor on a honey bee and for selective treatment of arthropod species from Varroa destructor. Also disclosed is a construct for inhibiting the Varroa destructor gene, comprising a nucleic acid which encodes a dsRNA comprising a nucleic acid sequence which is at least 96 % identical or complementary to at least 21 adjacent nucleotide sequence of the calmodulin gene.
