Specifically the invention relates to Technetium-99m labeled glycosylated-tripeptide having amino acid sequence Leu-His-Ile and capable of acting as an effective infection imaging agent for an early diagnosis of microbial infections in mammalian bodies by using gamma scintigraphy. The radiolabeled glycosylated tri-peptide is stable in vitro even after 24 hours of the formulation under physiological conditions.
