For breeding larger and more efficient queen bees, a method is proposed in which the larvae of the queen are taken from the worker-bee cells of normal honeycombs and are then laid on a replaceable cell floor with an enlarged diameter and the cell floor, with a tubular lateral wall placed on it, is developed into a queen's cell in which the queen is bred from the larva. In order to implement this method, a queen's cell is so designed that the individual cells consist of a lower section formed as a cell floor and an upper section which is tubular and forms the cell wall of the queen's cell, and that the two injection-moulded plastic sections are detachably connected to each other.
