Fecha de publicación: 20/12/2001 Fuente: WIPO "miel" The invention concerns compounds of formula (I) wherein: R is selected among a hydrogen atom, a C1-C6 alkyl group or aryl group optionally substituted; X represents a halogen such as a fluorine, bromine, chlorine or iodine atom; Y represents a -S(O)Ph group or a double bond between carbons 2 and 3, and in the latter case R is not a hydrogen atom and X is not a fluorine atom. The compounds of formula (I) are useful for preparing halogeno-2-oxymethyl-4-furanone-(4H) compounds which enable the synthesis of analogues of nucleosides constituting active agents in the treatment of viral infections.
