Jornada LIFE 17jun16 casos de éxito

On June 17, 2016 took place in the assembly hall of the building Ramón Camacho of Universidad de Extremadura in Badajoz, the Information Day on the LIFE program of the European Union, organized by the Service Management and Transfer of Research Results (SGTRI) of the University of Extremadura, in collaboration with the General Secretariat of Science and Technology and the Directorate General of Foreign Action of the Junta de Extremadura, with the Enterprise European Network (EEN) of FUNDECYT / Park Scientific and Technological and Extremadura Avante.

In order to present new and different forms of LIFE program in the call 2016, Elena Barrios Barcia, National Contact Point of the LIFE program and Area Coordinator of the Directorate General of Services of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, presented the opportunities offered by the program for the period 2014-2020 and the priorities of the 2016 call for proposals covering both sub-programs: Environment and Climate Action, as well as comments on practical aspects and lessons learned from previous calls for submission bankable proposals in this program.

In addition, several successful cases of regional participation in the LIFE program in a panel discussion moderated by José Luis Llerena, Director of Centro Tecnológico Agroalimentario Extremadura (CTAEX) were exposed. The projects presented as success cases were the INVASEP and Iberlince projects by the Directorate General of Environment of the Junta of Extremadura, the EDEA RENOV project by the Department of Architecture of the Junta de Extremadura, and the iCirBus4Industries, Integral Carbon and Savecrops projects by Centro Tecnológico Agroalimentario Extremadura.
