The invention discloses a fertilizing method for increasing the nicotine content of tobacco leaves. Fertilization is performed three times in the middle stage of tobacco root extension, the early stage of vigorous growth and the middle stage of vigorous growth respectively. The method specifically comprises the following steps: carrying out a first round of fertilization 15-22 days after flue-cured tobacco transplanting; carrying out the second round of fertilization 35-42 days after the flue-cured tobacco is transplanted; carrying out a third round of fertilization 45-52 days after the flue-cured tobacco is transplanted; wherein the first round of fertilization, the second round of fertilization and the third round of fertilization are all as follows: drip fertilization is performed once every day for 3-5 days continuously; the fertilizer applied in the first round of fertilization, the second round of fertilization and the third round of fertilization is a water-soluble fertilizer special for drip irrigation, the water-soluble fertilizer special for drip irrigation comprises more than or equal to 10% of N, more than or equal to 5% of P2O5 and more than or equal to 20% of K2O, and the ratio of N to K2O is 1: (2-4). According to the method, through low nitrogen input, the ecological environment of a tobacco area is maintained, and meanwhile, absorption and utilization of nitrogen nutrients are promoted through efficient irrigation and optimized fertilization management, so that the nicotine content of tobacco leaves is remarkably increased, high-quality production of flue-cured tobacco is guaranteed, and the quality of the tobacco leaves is improved.
