The invention relates to a detection method of fusarium equiseti, and application thereof. The detection method comprises a specific primer group: Fe-EF-spec1F/Fe-EF-spec1R. The method has the following beneficial effects: 1, no specific primer for PCR detection of pathogenic bacteria fusarium equisetum of tobacco fusarium root rot exists in the prior art, and zero breakthrough is realized; 2, a primer researched and screened by the invention has extremely high accuracy and specificity; 3, by comprehensively using the method disclosed by the invention, the maximum sensitivity can reach 1.0 ng/[mu]L; 4, the minimum time for detecting suspected tobacco plants infected by fusarium equisetum is 24 hours; and 5, pathogenic bacteria can be detected in an early stage after the fusarium equisetum is inoculated, so that the purpose of early detection of the tobacco fusarium root rot is achieved, and the method has very important significance and great economic significance on early detection, prevention and control of the tobacco fusarium root rot.
