The invention discloses a baking method capable of improving smoking quality of tobacco leaves based on a heat pump baking dehumidification system. The baking method comprises the following steps: harvesting ripe flue-cured tobacco fresh tobacco leaves: weaving the tobacco leaves into rods, and putting the rods into a baking room provided with the heat pump baking dehumidification system; ignitingand heating, and baking by stages, wherein the yellowing stage comprises an initial yellowing stage, a middle yellowing stage and a later yellowing stage; entering a color fixing period after the yellowing period is ended, wherein the color fixing period comprises an initial color fixing period and a later color fixing period; and entering a stem drying period after the color fixing period is finished, including a stem drying early period and a stem drying later period, and after stem drying later period baking is finished, cooling along with the furnace and discharging to obtain baked tobacco leaves. The heat pump baking and dehumidifying system is arranged in the baking room, the problems of environmental pollution, slow initial temperature rise in baking and unstable later combustion of traditional coal are solved, the baking process is optimized and controlled by stages according to the characteristics of the heat pump baking and dehumidifying system, the starch and protein content of baked tobacco leaves is obviously reduced, and the quality of the baked tobacco leaves is improved. The tobacco aroma and the first-class tobacco proportion are effectively improved, and the tobacco sensory evaluation quality and economic benefits are obviously improved.
