The invention discloses a baking method based on standard plant tobacco leaf baking characteristics. The baking method comprises the following steps of: planting standard tobacco plants of a flue-cured tobacco variety to be baked in a greenhouse strictly according to flue-cured tobacco cultivation technical regulations to obtain standard plant tobacco leaves; judging the quality of fresh tobacco leaves of to-be-baked common tobacco plants; taking a part of tobacco leaves of the to-be-baked common tobacco plants and standard tobacco leaves, and simultaneously carrying out an initial yellowing stage baking experiment to obtain tobacco leaf change data of the two tobacco leaves in the baking process; measuring the moisture content, a SPAD value and starch content of the tobacco leaves after the yellowing stage baking experiment is finished; and analyzing and comparing the tobacco leaf change data of the two kinds of tobacco leaves, and giving a specific baking process based on the basic quality of the fresh tobacco leaves of the to-be-baked common tobacco plants and the moisture content, SPAD value and starch content data of the tobacco leaves after the yellowing stage baking experiment is finished. According to the baking method, the final baking scheme can be determined only by baking part of tobacco leaves of the standard tobacco plants and the common tobacco plants in a smallbaking room until the tobacco leaves turn yellow completely, and the problem that sub-health tobacco leaves are difficult to bake is solved.
