The invention relates to a tobacco pond cleaning and plant counting method based on unmanned aerial vehicle remote sensing and image processing technologies, which comprises the steps of acquiring visible light orthoimages of a tobacco field through unmanned aerial vehicle remote sensing, and splicing to obtain a complete tobacco field remote sensing image map; filtering soil background information of the tobacco field remote sensing image through an HSV model masking method, sequentially performing graying processing, Gaussian filtering image smoothing, threshold binarization processing, morphological operation and open operation denoising operation, and extracting a tobacco plant image contour; and filtering contours with too large and too small pixel areas, detecting a minimum surrounding rectangle of the contour of the tobacco plants, and counting the number of the rectangles to obtain the number of the tobacco plants. According to the invention, the method combines the unmanned aerial vehicle remote sensing and image processing technologies to carry out pond cleaning and plant counting, has the advantages of high patrol speed, high recognition accuracy, low cost and the like, and expands the new digitization and informatization mode of tobacco agricultural production.
