The invention discloses a primer, a recombinant expression vector, a transformant, a kit, a method and application for creating cinnabar, and belongs to the technical field of genetic engineering. Sequences of an upstream primer and a downstream primer of the primer for creating the cinnabar are shown as SEQ ID NO.1 and SEQ ID NO.2 respectively. Based on the primer, the invention also provides a recombinant expression vector, a transformant, a kit and a method for creating cinnabar, and application of the method. According to the invention, common tobacco can be converted into cinnabar through overexpression of a product amplified by the primer in a tobacco plant, that is, tobacco leaves of a transgenic tobacco plant present a red appearance after being cured and have obvious glutinous rice fragrance through sensory evaluation, and the transgenic tobacco plant has the phenotype of the cinnabar. The method successfully solves the problem of artificially creating the cinnabar smoke, and fills the blank of artificially creating the cinnabar smoke.
